Default Quotes sent - Subject includes car of interest - oh and accessories

Hello group

I've developed a habit to include the customers vehicle of interest in the subject line when sending quotes. This way, if or when I get a response, I immediately know what vehicle I sent info on.. When you review your received emails, it makes it easy to keep track !

I find that accessories are always a issue every 3rd or 4th quote sent. I am certain we have all heard
" I don't need wheel locks" " I don't need splash guards " .. So, I started using this terminology :

Honda recommended accessories include : splash guards than price itemization.. just experimenting with stuff ..

Any one have other ideas for explaining accessories ?

Thumbs up Re: Quotes sent - Subject includes car of interest - oh and accessories

Looks like this thread would not go anywhere. But my method of including the car of interest in the subject has helped more times than I can shake a stick at ....

I've had customers from 2weeks ago contact me and all I need to do is review my emails and look in the subject line to find them and the vehicle of interest... Nice way to keep track othan hunting thru autobase - or cobalt or whatever your dealer used to track customers..

Dan, I don't think your question fell on deaf ears. I think that maybe not everyone is sure what you were saying with the accessories comment. However, I know exactly what you are saying...hummm, wonder why?

I've seen several of your outgoing emails and I think the verbiage your are using for the accessories is an easy way of presenting it to the customer. I know it's difficult to go up against the price shoppers when you're automatically adding a few more hundred bucks to each Honda with wheel locks and splash guards. Especially those damn hard nosed Honda Price shoppers.

Would you have a way of "including for FREE" Wheel Locks and Splash Guards in your "Price Quote"? Of course your price quote might be a few more dollars than the competition BUT might not everyone will see it that way. Just a thought...

The reason your subject line might had been overlooked was the fact that we just had this thread a few days ago. Great Subject Lines! . I do agree with you that using the vehicle of interest makes your subject line relevant to the consumer and your not playing tricks to get the customer to just open your email. There is good and bad in that practice.

If "you" had a CRM that would allow you to view all email correspondence at one time then corresponding your subject lines to price quote would not be quit as important. But YES..when you are using the infamous Autobase, this does make your day a lot easier.
