Dealership Phone Systems? From apps to CRM Integrations, what you got?

Dan - Sorry for my delayed response. We would use TotalCX for everything, yes. I have several multi-store groups in my 20 group using TotalCX in a similar set up and they are very happy. I'd strong encourage you to connect with Phil Sherman at Telecom Solutions if you haven't made a decision...

Dealership Phone Systems? From apps to CRM Integrations, what you got?

Dan - We operate a large centralized sales and service BDC for my group of five stores. We have issues with GoTo reliability. The call routing and dial plans randomly fail, calls get parked in perpetuity and we don't know it. They are aware of this issue and refuse to address it. We have...

Dealership Phone Systems? From apps to CRM Integrations, what you got?

We are currently on GoTo and it's quite possibly the worst company I've ever done business with. Terrible support, rude employees that are unwilling to fix issues they create with updates. It's a disaster. Moving to TotalCX at the beginning of next year. Better product and less expensive...

Your dealership Avg. Discount Report. Are you tracking it???

You can track this metric using your DMS. We track it in Dealerbuilt. You need to use two separate fields for pricing in the inventory screen. We also used to do it in Reynolds. In Dealerbuilt, when we stock a car in, we put the original asking price in the Inventory MSRP field as well as in...

Our DMS appears to be taking advantage of us - WHAT ARE YOU PAYING FOR API INTEGRATION?

Jeff and Yago - I would be willing to do that at some point in the future. It's only been approximately 90 days since our switch. It's gone quite well for the most part but I'd like to get more time under my belt so I can speak in greater detail.

    Yelp! The Yelp Revenue Estimate

We are in the same boat with Yelp. It's ridiculous and unethical what they are doing.

CRM Systems and Email Marketing - Why Such a Challenge?

Just read this great blog post by Jason Stum at MarketPunch.com. In it he talks about the challenges with conducting comprehensive, targeted, highly deliverable email campaigns within a dealership CRM. He gives some other great tips about email marketing as well. Basically his contention is...

Google Reviews Disappeared!?!?!? What's the deal?

Thanks for the great feedback guys. This complicated review integrity policy along with the implementation of Google+ (which I still can't figure out) serves as a real head scratcher...

Google Reviews Disappeared!?!?!? What's the deal?

Has anyone been able to figure out Google Reviews and the impact of Google+ on getting reviews? We recently switched to asking people to submit reviews to Google instead of Dealerrater but we are having little to no success whereas before we were doing great with Dealerrater. Moreover, I have...

Since DR is the only forum NOT sponsoring a conference this fall...

This is a great forum topic. I consider myself relatively "in the know" but I don't attend any of these conferences, primarily because I don't have the time. I just started going to NADA on a semi-regular basis. Not only does time have a lot to do with how many of these things people attend...

Handheld Vehicle Appraisal Tools - what are you using?

We have/are using both the eCarlist app and the vAuto app for both iphone and droid. Both are excellent. Overall the nod for me goes to to eCarlist for design, functionality and speed. vAuto has improved tremendously and the fact that it syncs with our vAuto account is huge. If you appraise...

Rapid Recon - Anyone use it? Hear of it?

I'm with Mitch in that it would be great to use DMS data, such as the vehicle "status code", to power this type of system. We also use an in house spreadsheet to track this via query builder using status code. The product is intriguing but having another system to log into is daunting.

VIN Lookup Database for all Brands?

Bryan Great post and I agree 100% but it's going to be very challenging to get done. I'm surprised that someone like POLK or JD Power hasn't aggregated this data so we at least know what equipment and packages came with a car when it left the factory. Other than that, it's up to us to know...

    Intellacar iPad Software

Anybody using Intellacar's iPad based sales process enhancement software? I just read that Chrome is now supplying data to Intellacar. According to their website they integrate with CRM systems for the purpose of capturing customer information. I think tablet based software and the use of...

    web based email marketing

Joe I am aware of how CM handles segmentation. The only problem is that there is no way of telling in a customer profile if they are currently a member of a specific list (i.e. this customer is on the list for Odysseys, therefore they don't send them communications about Civic Hybrids)...

    web based email marketing

Joe - You are so right in so many ways. MMS was actually an acquisition. It was AIM Data before Reynolds acquired it so they didn't even develop it. They just bolted it on. It's actually a pretty good product but your assessment is accurate nonetheless.

    web based email marketing

Jeff You bring up some great points. A robust email marketing platform complete with list segmentation, conversion capture, open rates, click thrus, etc should be a cornerstone of all really good automotive CRM companies. Many claim to have it but often times they are lacking when compared to...
