    Show Me the Leads!

Ive wondered about HookLogic. What happens when you get 200 people who show up, collect the gift card, then dont buy. Ugh.

How do you get in-house plates?

Were a smaller dealership. Only 50 cars. Sell about 20 a month. We always had a lot kid that went to the DMV and back getting plates. I was wondering, how do you get in-house plates? We were running our numbers and we spend thousands just going back and forth from the DMV. Especially when sales...

What do you pay for your website provider?

That doesn't mean it's worth it. Just because other things are outrageously priced does not mean anything. In fact, it probably goes deeper to show that Dealers are getting screwed on a lot of their marketing bills because they never thought to question the insanity of some of the price...

What do you pay for your website provider?

Bingo. Dealerships don't know they're getting butt-hurt because they don't have the IT background to know that its ridiculous to pay that much per month.

What do you pay for your website provider?

No, no. I never said $699 is grossly overpaying. I meant Dealer.com customers and others who pay more than $1,200 per month. Also, I disagree with your figures. Having owned my own web design firm, I don't know where you got your figures from but maybe you need to shop around a bit more. Any...

What do you pay for your website provider?

DealerFire was custom made and their quote was $699 a month. No DIY there. No chat is not managed. I think Dealers are grossly overpaying for website services.

What do you pay for your website provider?

Yeah I would never pay that much ($799 or up). I've spoken with about 3 dealer website companies today and they ranged from $99 to $499 to $899. All of them included inventory management, chat, and website.

What do you pay for your website provider?

A recent thread which posted the amount their dealership pays for Dealer.com got me thinking. What do YOU pay to your website provider? I was shocked to see that Dealer.com charges $3k a month and people actually pay it. We use Dealer Car Search and pay $250 per month. Their service is pretty...

    Thinking of dropping Dealer.com

3 THOUSAND a month? Are you kidding me? I've seen Dealer.com websites all over and I am not the least bit impressed. That is INSANE. I am the marketing manager at a Used Car dealership, and I also own a Web Design company. My brother-in-law also owns one of the largest web design firms in...

Do NOT use Dealer Car Search - HORRIBLE customer service

EDIT: In all fairness, the person who sent the email did just call me and Apologize for what she sent. She admitted it was rude and uncalled for and she said that she is just so stressed that it came out. She did seem like a very nice person who just kinda "lost it". ---------- We have been...

Cars.com and Yahoo split? Someone please explain

Hi Jerry. And I bet you are going to see that trend continue upwards for Craigslist and downwards for AutoTrader. The Dealer's websites is and probably will always be the premier player in the market. HOWEVER, remember that any good Craigslist ad sends the viewer back to the Dealers website for...

Cars.com and Yahoo split? Someone please explain

Hi Yagoparamo. I actually own AutoPosters - it's a company, not a program. Thats how I got into business with Anything With Wheels. After working with them for a few weeks, the owner loved what I was doing and asked me to be their full time marketing guy. So now I balance my week between...
