Edmunds.com Forecasts 15 Million New Car Sales in 2013
Edmunds.com predicts 15 million in new car sales in 2013 - only a 4 percent jump from 2012 projections, but an nearly a 50% jump from the recession peak in 2009...all the more reason to maximize web presence and showroom practices, including BDC and internet chat implementation.
•Edmunds.com forecasts sales of new cars and light trucks will hit 15 million units in 2013.
•This would be a 4 percent increase over 2012 and the first year of non-double-digit sales growth since 2010.
•Nevertheless, an increase in lease expirations and overall pent-up demand will drive more consumers into the new car market.
