CarStory by Vast just published a new report on what really matters to used car shoppers. Knowing this, do you think that your classified listings should reflect your consumer's priorities?

Another thought; few dealers talk about the reconditioning that was done in their listings, but consumers say they would love to hear about that too!

And yet most comment generators begin the descriptions with "power windows, power door locks, and cruise control!" Duh. What cars today do not have those features? Not many. The fix is to make the time to do each car individually. Easier said than done I know. Great share Ed!

I'm a bit late to commenting on this one. My apologies @Ed Brooks .

HIGHLIGHT the HECK out of the media connectivity features on each of your Used Cars (New too)! Bluetooth, iPhone/iPod, MP3, USB – mention any iPhone and Android compatibility!!
  • Take additional close up photos of the iPhone/iPod/USB connections or adapter.
  • Get a close up photo of the Bluetooth icon.
  • Another photo and highlight any mention of iPhone and Android connectivity.
  • Mention these features in bold & CAPITAL text in your vehicle descriptions.
  • Start your vehicle descriptions highlighting mobile connectivity.
  • Don’t forget to mention it in your Walkaround Video.
I posted this over on the blog as well...
