Besides the showmanship they bring up the fact that many current pro-client laws are there for a reason and supported by the franchise network.

Lemon laws are a great example. When you have an issues you have a dealer (usually) within a reasonable distance where you can get a loaner, drop your dead horse, get someone to submit paperwork to the manufacturer, etc.
