In 1995, I went to work for two brothers who operated a fourteen franchise auto group in The Dalles, OR. Our group ended up on the cover of Automotive News, Dealer Magazine and we were even featured in the Wall Street Journal. Of course we had the exclusive on Autobytel for all of our franchises for all of Oregon and Washington, so selling cars "on the Internet" was more of an order taking exercise, but we were definitely successful by anyone's measuring stick.
Since those days, my career has allowed me to benefit from the finest sources of information and training available within the Automotive industry. I've been fortunate enough to have been in the right place many times and to have formed relationships with some of the country's best and longest tenured consultants and marketing experts. I've also had the great pleasure to work with most of the large website development companies, and to become familiar with the digital platforms of nearly all the top OEMs.
The one thing that has held true for me during the evolutions of this niched corner of the Automotive realm has been that in order to not just survive, but to thrive, you have to be willing to hang out at the end of the branch every once in a while. That's where I'm at. Looking for and aligning with cutting edge technologies and philosophies that provide real solutions for dealers.
You may contact me regarding consulting services or any of the products/technologies that I represent - or we could just have a conversation. It's thrilling to see, after the past two years, the ideas that have been generated and to be meeting with the fine minds that have created them.
At the end of the day, if I can enable a dealer to do better in any one aspect of their operation, I'm fulfilled. If I end up making a long lasting connection or friendship, well, that's just a great bonus!
