Uncle Joe's Make Over Diary

I'd like your raw feedback.

Concept: Create a real time display of shoppers on Dealer's website.
Used by: Sales managers, Marketing director & ISM's office
(grouped by shopper, the page populates Real Time as shoppers move around the site).

Shopper #1 of the day...

Shopper #1 is from SEO, they looked at 4 SUVs (they like white!) and they found these 4 SUVs by looking for SUV's under $350 a month.

Then a few mins later, Shopper #2 data comes in

Shopper #2 came to you site via an email link. They're a local shopper that's never been to your site, the facet summary reveals that they're shopping for a 4x4 under 50k miles and sorting by price (they're not brand loyal, they're looking for a great deal).

Next comes in Shopper #3

Shopper #3 is a mobile shopper, they came to your site via one of your ads. They filled out a finance form on Car #2 (stk #34342). Shopper is looking for a new or used lux sedan under $300 p/mo with roof, navi and leather (any lead could have this shopping info attached to the lead).

Interesting. I like the idea for insight into the silent shoppers, which is the problem we're all trying to solve.
I do something similar, but only once we have contact information for the user.

This would be great for the ILM that really cares and wants to shape their website to their visitors.

Is it not done yet?

Why not make it an "appointment display board/real time traffic display"

I think a real appointment display board it's way overdue.

When I think of DISC, the appointment board it's more valueble and the traffic display board it's something "cool"

Yea, I get your frustration Stefan. My early prototype work confirmed that it works on the sales floor, but it won't succeed unless it's fully automatic (populated by CRM inputs). Be patient, hang in there! When you see products in their infancy, some take a while to become full grown adults ;-)
