Facebook + KBB marketplace

There is space for yet another 3rd party site, right?

Facebook enters the game.

You beat me to it Yago! Was just coming to post this: https://www.macrumors.com/2017/10/26/facebook-new-vehicle-marketplace/

This is definitely going to hurt Google (and indirectly AutoTrader/Cars.com). Since FB has access to your mobile device's location services (and it's on most of the time), they can track what ads people saw when they arrive at your dealership. Makes sense to divert marketing dollars from Google and put into FB/Instagram.

And Gubagoo jumps on it. That was quick!

Dealers who are using Gubagoo ChatSmart and have enabled Gubagoo’s Messenger integration simply authorize Gubagoo to post to Marketplace. Within minutes, the dealership’s used car inventory is imported. Each vehicle will appear in a separate listing, and include a photo of the vehicle, a description, year, make, model, price, mileage, VIN number, and the dealership’s name and location. If prospective buyers have any questions or wish to make an offer, Gubagoo’s chat specialists will instantly respond through Messenger. Gubagoo’s operators are professionally trained to qualify incoming leads and upload buyer information to the dealer’s CRM.

Got all 4 stores up and running a couple of weeks ago. I have CDK as the export and using Messenger in-house for replies (Basically, I am the guy responding)

The jury for me is still out as to if this is going to help us. I have had a decent amount of engagement and messages but the quality of the engagement is what you would expect from a marketplace site.

We've been live since the beginning of Feb. We've got a handful of chat leads and a sale. We use Edmunds but I've not been very happy with the import quality.

1st. The picture quality is AWFUL! Edmunds.com VDP has images at like 550x400 or something and the standard Facebook image upload size is 640x480 so our pictures which are sent out from our website are two or three times that resolution then downsized to 550 then stretched to 640px

We even had a close customer to the dealership ask if they were our listings because it looked like a scam/stolen photos.

I also don't like that Edmunds manages the chat system completely then just emails the transcript.

I will be exploring some of the other options...

Hello everyone! This looked like the right place to ask this question. Of these approved inventory partners for FB Marketplace does anyone have any good recommendations as far as pricing for their service? I'm surprised more are not on the list like CarGurus, who we currently use for our inventory. I can manage the chat so I'm looking for one that just posts inventory since I can't post it myself. Thanks!
