16% is the NEW 10% - ILM Closing ratio

A related topic, I assume most seeing website conversion rates up sharply. Lead forms, chats, trade leads, DR leads up most. Conversion rates doubling, even tripling for some. Shoppers are serious and not afraid to give up PII, and once in showroom are less likely to leave, shop around.

Cargurus might be coming for you soon. PRICE INCREASES

@Jim Lease If you want to share some specific numbers could help us see how you perform against benchmarks. Take how much you’re paying each month, divided by the reported monthly VDPs. This should be under $.50, but with CarGurus is typically $.30 or below. Then also take the monthly expense...

    GMB Products GONE MISSING!

@ChrisR may be right, perhaps the new Google Guaranteed for autos, wrapped around Local Service ads. We helped set it up for a large non-autos account, not too tough, and the non-branded conversions at a competitive rate. Rumors are that LSA coming to GMB. On GMB Products turned off, I have...

    Facebook reviews: Formula & Timing?

Does anyone have knowledge or experience with influencing Facebook reviews/ratings? In late 2018 FB converted from actual star-ratings to "recommend" or "doesn't recommend", along with "other data signals" to calculate a star-rating. I've got a dealer-customer who has had strong recent success...

Chrome Extension shows competitor Google My Business categories

Version 1.4 of our GMBspy Chrome extension is now live and available for free download from the Chrome Store. This is our official international version, supporting google.co.uk, google.es, google.com.ca and others domains. We launched 2 weeks ago and are already approaching 2,000 users, most of...

Make sure you are using google.com/maps instead of google.com/search This issue is fixed in latest version. Also, refreshing browser helps clear issues.

Chrome Extension shows competitor Google My Business categories

We released a cool new (and free) Chrome Extension this morning called GMBspy. Many of us know that Google My Business (GMB) categories can be read for any location by searching the HTML. This process works, but is clumsy and slow. Why care about GMB categories? I believe they are one of the...

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

Great point @Dan Sayer around consistency, not only DealerRater, Cars.com but also Auto.com (a Cars.com website). Usually Auto.com and Cars.com match, but not always. Most dealers don’t realize, Cars.com operating 3 review sites/citations appearing on GMB and page 1 SERP. This conversation...

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

Jamie, Thank you for staying engaged on this. I don’t feel I’m confused on the difference on reviews vs ratings counts, they are pretty straightforward. And I appreciate that you feel you are using schema correctly, everything I find online says that is not the case. See attached. It should be...

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

The problem is, Dealer Rater is ranking on page 1 based on faking out schema for reviews. If you go to DR's site you can see they should be a 4.9 star rating. their review breakdown looks like this: - 248 5-star ratings - one 3.5 star rating - one 2-star rating - two 1.5 star ratings DR has...

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

I did some quick searching this morning, not too hard to find offending examples. These are dealers with overall DR scores that would be much, much higher. Their Google My Business pages have DR listing 1.0 star ratings with several hundred reviews. Misleading to shoppers, and unfair to dealers.

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

Hey Brian, Win Chevrolet is not a customer. I found them looking for examples of dealers being penalized, and there were plenty of them. We have customers with strong Google reputation, who are in markets where DR is less relevant. They don’t see that many DR reviews, but they build a good...

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

Glad to hear dealers can reply to reviews without subscribing, I stand corrected. However, I still feel DealerRater is not being upfront with consumers and penalizing dealers. DR should either restate the number of reviews in average, or follow schema for true calculation of averages. For me...

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

@Josh S you nailed it, that is exactly my point. If I'm a dealer, and a 3rd party review site has found their way onto my GMB page, I need to make sure they are legitimately there. @oldershawj02 Jamie, I appreciate you sharing in the discussion. Using the full count of reviews to land on dealer...

Is DealerRater breaking Schema rules for leverage against dealers?

When you Google your dealership name, what 3rd parties appear in the search results? On your Google My Business page, what "Reviews from the web" appear? For many dealers DealerRater appears with their dealer listing. They use schema, along with their large amount of reviews to rank on page 1...

    Marketing Incentives During COVID-19

Hey Kaylin, the dealers we work with saw traffic patterns decline around March 11, and then began to climb back in late April. Leads from the website also began to grow in late April. Conversion rates from the websites (that math is website leads divided by website sessions) are now double...

Any experience with SNAPLOT 360 from Homenet?

A dealer-customer is asking about this solution for capturing interior and exterior 360s. Does anyone have experience with this solution, good or bad? Attached is a promotional PDF the dealer shared with me. Thank you!
