Is your dealership's online inventory able to stay up to date with you only shooting 5 cars per day ?

    Pay for photographer?

Why are recording options / trims / packages the responsibility of the photographer, I would think the person who sets the price of the cars needs to know this before it can be priced. Also why are many photographers producing window stickers and buyer guides when there is such a high...

    Setting up a Photo Booth

That is really interesting to hear. Consistency consistency consistency has been drilled into me over the years. Dealers wanting all the first shots to be consistently positioned and shot. I would think photographing un prepped cars would have more negatives then positives. These are some...

    Setting up a Photo Booth

What is your opinion about taking 5-10 quick pictures upon trade in and posting them online before reconditioning, just to get some pics online, since in many managers views, speed is everything and with out pics the car is not for sale in the customer's eye. And then re taking the good...

    Setting up a Photo Booth

Very true that you don't need any super camera resolution for dealer internet photos, I believe Homenet only allows pictures of 800x600 or else they downsize them . But resolution aside, cameras have much more control of light adjustments, shutter speed, aperture control for depth of field...

    Setting up a Photo Booth

I see a lot of people are talking about using iPhones and other similar devices for their car photography. I'm just wondering what the draw is to use them. I must be old school since I still use an actual camera and memory cards.

Dealers Superimposing their Pictures in Front of the Dealership

Since we are talking about the website photos, I am curios to hear from people who have used Homenet and V Auto which is easier/ less time consuming to upload and arrange the photos into your desired order. Which do you prefer ?

    Setting up a Photo Booth

I found this old photo from a dealer I used to shoot for. This booth has roll up sides so the dealer can park cars there when not being used for photography. The back banner also rolls up to reveal their Mercedes store name. Many many drawbacks to this booth though

    Pay for photographer?

I bet there are also a few service techs with down time that can mow the lawn and keep the flowers watered out front so the dealership has a nice clean professional curb appeal GENIUS ! Why hire a professional grounds crew when you can do it in house. Finance managers could probably clean the...

    Setting up a Photo Booth

I've seen a lot of fancy indoor photo booths that focus on getting the ouside of the car looking good, but the interior shots look bad in comparison due to lacking light and the photographer gets blurry pictures because of the slow shutter speed required or lack of depth of field

Dealers Superimposing their Pictures in Front of the Dealership

    Setting up a Photo Booth

Quoting Alex Snyder "You're right that there is a ton that goes into good photography (definition: the capture of light). In your comparisons it is quite obvious the first thing needed is a photographer who actually appreciates what the need for the image is. Second to that is a camera that can...

    The Future of Vehicle Reconditioning

The dealers I work with have a T2L of about 3 days for used cars that do not need paint work using Rapid Recon and an inventory manager that constantly monitors it and manages the flow through the recon steps. The dealers I work with that have Rapid Recon but choose not to use it have a T2L of...

Dealers Superimposing their Pictures in Front of the Dealership

In the 360 spin cars I've seen online, I have not seen many that have good quality inside pictures , usually too dark. Has anyone had success getting quality inside pictures with this?

    Pay for photographer?

I wish there were replies to the above comment, I see this is an old thread, is $12-$13 per hr still the going rate? Is "Good Enough" the standard for online images of your car dealer inventory ? I would love to continue this line of thought
