@Alexander Lau - Agreed, on a couple things. Good content and a great UI are key to an a and awesome retail experience. Google treats any gTLD the same - Official language from them - though in our experience NEW gTLDS get crawled quicker, might be directional, but we have seen it many many...- Andy MacLeay

Hey @martinoermando ! Thanks for the comment, I would say if a business loves their URL and is happy with the brand recall they get out of it, perfect! As to length, it kind of goes both ways on either side of the “dot” some folks find it challenging to find a short URL to the left of the dot...- Andy MacLeay

I think you’d easily be able to get that brand juice to your .Dealer Domain... As for price. That’s part of the double edge sword that is ICANN and the registry/registrar relationship - how do you prevent TONS of domain squatting, because these actually get sold through GODADDY or any number of...- Andy MacLeay

Respectfully, not sure I agree. E.g. Fake dealer in SoCal tomsusedcars.com (hypothetical but realistic URL) vs LAcar.dealer or LA.dealer LACar.dealer or the latter - in an advertisement, or conversation feels and sounds much more authoritative.- Andy MacLeay

@Jeff Glackin For sure, nobody is saying move a URL for SEO purposes alone, I say do it for business purposes. I would think being able to directly remember a name off from a billboard, radio, TV, or even display ad impression...at the very least is beneficial, that is mostly marketing basics...- Andy MacLeay

Again, not sure I agree, but that is why we are here! I think in combination with a sound SEO strategy AND advertising strategy, having branding that is memorable and short absolutely is a force multiplier to those efforts and would easily start ranking for those search terms, why wouldn't it...- Andy MacLeay
