    WELCOME! I'm in the vendor space, but I used to run the independent dealer program over at TrueCar. Moved on to other things since then, but I'll always have a special respect for the indy dealers!

    Where is Amazon going with this?

    I have absolutely NOTHING to back this up, but my assumption is that they are going to eventually buy out a struggling listing company of some sort and turn it into the "Amazon Auto Buying Network" or something of the sort. I can't imagine them starting completely from scratch.

    I used to work for a company that partnered with a website company called Dealersync. The guy who owns the company was an independent dealer, so that's their main focus but they do franchise websites as well. If you're interested in talking with them let me know and I can DM you the owners...
