Adding the word "very" to your email template

One little thing I have done is to add the word "very" to templates. Particularly auto response. Example: Thank you for coming in to our dealership vs. Thank you very much for coming in to our dealership Thank you for your inquiry on the 2014 Pinto vs. Thank you very much for your inquiry...

    Why is Video so difficult?

If I'm on the phone with a customer and say "hey, I could make a quick video of the vehicle and text or email you", the customer always smiles over the phone and says "wow, that would be great". I think it really comes down to the sales person taking the initiative & extra step to take a video...

    Back in the car biz.

Greetings, After a 18 month hiatus, I have returned to the car business as a internet & sales manager at www.nationalmotors.net I'll try to give some perspective on working for a smaller dealer vs. the big box Honda store I worked previously. I can say this, the auto industry sales over the...

Most Single Day Traffic EVER Across all websites

I recently purchased a new Accord. I was on the dealer website so much that DealerOn put up a notice saying I was on their website to much.

Most Single Day Traffic EVER Across all websites

Could the traffic have anything to do with consumer confidence ? The auto industry is having a banner year and it looks like sales are up for nearly every manufacturer, other than Honda. How many cars will be sold this year ? 18 million ?

    YouTube and it's benefits

I recommend YouTube for any car dealership. When it comes to organic search, YouTube and eBay listings are high in the ranking, usually just below the paid ads. IMO the title of the video is what is most important, because that title is searchable.

    4 Content Marketing Boosters

Ford has many Facebook pages & the content being shared is much more than industry news. They have over 6 million fans for Ford Mustang alone. Ford Fusion has over 400K fans. Not only are they fans, but many are probably Ford owners looking to keep up with current updates. What I...

    Carfax now competing with Cars.com & AutoTrader.com?

I find the news interesting. Jeff asked "Does Carfax have a chance here to stir up the market?" YES "Could they become a real competitor to the other used car listing website?" When you think about buying a car, "show me the carfax" has been a marketing success with...

Our referral/bird dog process is stale. Got any cool ideas?

Joe says "Since it's damn near impossible to change your store by yourself ;-), if you want more referrals, one idea is to train your sales force to "work" facebook. 4 Content Marketing Boosters

I find it very interesting that "content marketing" seems to be an issue. If I was a Internet Manager for a Ford dealership, my content would come from Ford's Facebook, Twitter & Instragram pages. When you "like" a page and follow a Facebook page like Ford (or any company), Ford is going to...

    Salesperson Facebook page

AdamB - The beauty with social media is tagging. You sell a car and if the customer says ok, you take a photo of the customer with the new purchase. When you tag the customer, his or her friends on FB will be notified. A simple way to network to your customers family and friends.

    Advice on overpriced used cars

If you have 100 used cars, what do you think is the normal balance between auction cars vs. trade in cars ? 50 -50 ? 40-60? I think we'll all agree that trade in cars bring the most gross. If you are able to stock all trade in cars vs. wholesale, the profit numbers jump.

    Advice on overpriced used cars

Your friend who is a GSM has some pretty sweet numbers. I know that many of the old inventory we had at my dealership came from the wholesaler who purchased the car for too much. A good example would be a paying roughly the same money for a 2010 Honda Civic LX vs. a 2012 Civic LX. If you...
