QR Codes - In or Out?

P.S. The idea was born based on a study released by Cobalt that talked about treating your inventory like a potential date on match.com. You want your prospect to learn more when they visit your site. You want your car to be a "potential match" in the selection criteria. Talking qr's give your...

QR Codes - In or Out?

The technology to individualize and personalize verbal messages that engages some customers whether on the lot, after hours or via the website does work. It is distinct to the vehicle, fully automated and the message can changed as needed via keyboard. Customers feel they are getting facts, not...

QR Codes - In or Out?

Talking QR's are alive and well. I have several clients using them successfully. Research indicates the time spent on the sites dramatically increased when the prospect is engaged getting additional verbal information. Here is one for your review. Scan it and see what you think.

Rest assured, the data is owned by the dealer. As soon as Reynolds understands that, access for employees and support vendors, with proper permission, will happen. For now, access with permission has been thwarted by captcha. Reynolds wants a fee to access your data. Absurd. Stay tuned for...

    Reynolds Capcha

Reynolds clearly has been trying to monetize Dealers data that does not belong to them by forcing vendors into the "certification process". Those of us who have chosen not to be forced to "Pay to Play" have been on a mission to automate the process of acquiring necessary data. Captcha was...

Dealertrack and Dealersocket and leaving Reynolds

Getting away from R&R will be the best move you can make. DealerTrack is an excellent system and data transfer is clean and straight forward. As a vendor who pulls down data from every system, I can tell you that my DealerTrack clients really love the DMS.

    Reynolds Capcha

Not having to deal with capcha for query builder, report generator and scheduler operations completely changes the game for many vendors who have permission to retrieve dealership data but are thwarted by capcha. I view smooth, efficient, data transfer as a good thing.

New Reynolds and Reynolds process to prevent third party data collection.

Restraining trade is not defined by market share. It has nothing to do with monopoly. It is when someone owns something, (the Dealers owning their data) they may choose to give it away, grant access to it or sell it to whomever, whenever, and for how ever much they decide. Reynolds is clearly...

New Reynolds and Reynolds process to prevent third party data collection.

Can anyone spell Class Action Lawsuit??? It is a clear "restraint of trade". Reynolds is in trouble.
