Nissan going to ONE website provider for dealers?!

Everyone likes to complain about Cobalt/CDK. Their sites aren't that bad. You get out of it what you put into it. I'm in a group of 20+ stores and the only with the a Cobalt site. We get more traffic (paid and organic) than any of the other stores, have good time on site and conversion numbers...

Another Internet Sales/Marketing Manager Pay Plan Thread...

Wanting to approach my boss with a pay plan proposal as my role has gradually grown since coming to this dealership a few years ago. Currently I am responsible for: - BDC of 4 people (BDC set appointments and transfers them to sales people once they arrive - in other words, not a cradle to...

    Open Chapter 7 BK...

Not sure if this is in the right area or not.. I'm looking for lenders that finance open Chapter 7 BK's, we had one lined up but things fell apart and now I'm looking for another one. To be clear, I'm not looking for BK Leads, but lenders that actually extend financing to customer in an open...

Correlation between sales and website traffic

What I'm getting at is how do we know that your "1 million page views" influenced more sales rather than the market being strong at those times and therefore more people were searching for cars as a whole and you sold more cars. The reason I am asking is my website traffic, page views, VDP...

Correlation between sales and website traffic

Is there any data that backs this up? I agree it makes sense, but how do we know website traffic drives sales?? Obviously on a site like Amazon, etc. more traffic leads to more sales, but the car business is a different game all together.

Service / Parts / Body Shop SEM

Thanks Truman. I just signed up with Showroom Logic for some Display advertising - do you all do Service SEM as well? We are currently doing Facebook custom audience targeting based on our client list (for Sales) and have been very pleased with the results.

Correlation between sales and website traffic

Would a better measure of the value of website traffic, VDPs, etc. be lot traffic rather than sales? Sales depends on a variety of factors (sales staff, customers credit, and on and on and on). If I have a website that is drawing people into the store I would consider that a success. The guy...

Service / Parts / Body Shop SEM

I've had a lot better success after cancelling our SEM with Cobalt and partnering with another company. Their management fee is too high and the campaigns are not customizeable - unless I want to spend a lot more - and even then they aren't anywhere near what I can get elsewhere for 1/4 , 1/5...

    Chat Questions

check out ClientConneXion - Live Chat, SEO, SEM, Response, Social Media , cool product, and less expensive than what you are paying now. based on what you described it will give you the same functionality you have now and then some. They have their share of "annoying" chat boxes but offer a...

Service / Parts / Body Shop SEM

Thanks Yago. I guess my main questions is - has anyone found this to be profitable? If AutoZone, Pep Boys are doing it...there must be some type of profit in it? There are countless posts, threads, articles, webinars, etc. on sales SEM but I don't hear anything about Fixed Ops SEM, if this is...

Service / Parts / Body Shop SEM

We aren't doing much marketing for Fixed Ops - direct mail and some email blasts - no digital stuff. Goals - more service apt, more site traffic, more $ to fixed ops.

Service / Parts / Body Shop SEM

Not sure if this should be posted here or in the Service / Fixed Ops Section, it's a little of both, so figured I would post here. I'm looking to start doing some SEM for our Fixed Ops (Service, Parts and Body Shop). I was wondering if any other dealers on here have tried this or are currently...

FordDirect offering Clickmotive solution - Good? Bad? Ugly?

FD/Clickmotive Sites have awful built in (and on going) SEO. Do what you will, but any $ spent on these sites is a waste. I know you have to have a FD site, but I would do everything in your power to get a second site that is actually worth a sh!t, because FD is truly awful. I could go on and on..

FordDirect offering Clickmotive solution - Good? Bad? Ugly?

Don't do it. Do not do it. Run, run, run. I know there are some terrible website companies out there but clickmotive is absolutely terrrrrrrible. Repeat, do not do it. *seriously, avoid at all cost*

Do you give Trade-in figures online?

again, why would they tell you? once they tell you - you have the information you need and most likely won't come in. we are in business to sell cars, that's how we put food in our cupboards. giving you all the information over the phone means we most likely won't sell you a car.
