The lack of Memorial Day deals isn’t stopping shoppers from hitting the dealer lot this weekend. Cars.com's latest research tells us that 43% of car shoppers on our site plan to buy this holiday, and despite inventory shortages and rising prices, more than half say they are willing to pay more for what they want. But they’re not showing up empty handed - 41% of Cars.com shoppers plan to sell or trade in a used car.

That's encouraging to hear! I would bet 51% of customers are ALWAYS willing to pay more for the car they want ;) …easy to forget that in the dealership heat of battle.
It isn't a purchase that you'd take second best, that is for sure. And it is encouraging to see that all the news coverage isn't causing car shoppers to wait, instead, they are going to greater lengths to get the car they want!
