Amazon buying Whole Foods is more evidence that Bricks & Mortar has an essential place in retail. Other evidence includes
    1. BestBuy sales are winning (in store and online)
    2. Vroom buys Texas Direct (old news but highly relevant)
In specialty retail* the Bricks and Mortar experience can be superior to an online only experience. If the product sold is expensive, then, webrooming is a natural part of a shoppers workflow**.

    Long live the King :-)

**Amazon just got a patent for 'anti-webrooming' code.

I would agree with you. The verdict is still out on Vroom. I'll be interested to see how they are doing in two to three years. I hope well, I like the model.

David Bell is someone who has a really awesome insight on this, check him out to see why "location is still everything" as he puts it.
