Cars.com introduces Price Badging: Moving the Conversation from "What" to "Why." Cars.com recently rolled out badging across their SRPs and VDPs. By unpacking what goes into a vehicle's price, they aim to create transparency between dealers and consumers - and ultimately drive more connections. "Badging provides dealers a greater opportunity to demonstrate their value, be more transparent, and close more deals quickly and efficiently. Our work on providing better pricing tools has just begun. Going forward, we will continue to provide context beyond the sticker price and give in-market car shoppers greater insights into the why behind the price - allowing us to create connections that fuel growth for our customers." Are these badges truly helpful or do they too often confuse and/or misguide the shopper?
