Has anyone been seeing more DuckDuckGo ads lately? We sampled some of our dealers from different parts of the U.S. and Canada, and nearly every one has seen strong growth in the last few years.

The attached images are from 1-1-20 to 1-31-22, that’s 25 months, which is our preferred analytics window, giving us 3 Januarys to inspect.

Keep in mind we also compared the DDG growth for these dealers against other search engines, and during this same time period, we saw flat or small growth performance from Google and Bing.

As most know DDG is a growing internet search engine that promises privacy, and that they don’t track users. Dealers can advertise of DDG through the Microsoft Bing network.

Are these charts showing total traffic from DuckDuckGo or traffic from the ads on DDG?
There's certainly growth there, but if the total is < 100 visitors per month then it's still a fairly small target, unless that's all Bing ads traffic from DDG.

The dark blue line are organic sessions from duck duck go, the light blue line are true conversions such as lead forms, chats, click to call, trade leads, digital retailing leads. For a number of dealers the traffic is now on par with the volume from the OEM website, which I think is worth paying attention to.
