Fastlane, the fast-growing platform that gives car dealers an e-commerce presence while providing a user-friendly, Amazon-like car-buying experience, will enter the independent and pre-owned car dealer market in January 2018. Although Fastlane’s initial focus, since its launch earlier this year, has been on meeting the needs of car dealership groups, the company views the independent and pre-owned car dealership segment as equally important and will enter this market aggressively.

“We get numerous inquiries from independent and used-car dealers online and at trade shows, and now we have a product tailored and reasonably priced for these types of dealerships,” said David Luce, Fastlane’s Vice President of Sales. “There are nearly 30,000 independent dealerships in the U.S. market, representing 35-40% of the vehicles sold online. With online sales now being a key dynamic in the auto market, we believe our platform is uniquely positioned to help independent and used-car dealers stay competitive.”

Savvy dealers are gravitating toward Fastlane because of its flexibility, customizability and ease of use. Fastlane’s platform enables car buyers to purchase a vehicle directly from the car dealer’s website and gives them an easy and complete checkout experience. The platform handles nearly all the tasks associated with the purchase process: Year, make, model, specifications and price information on each vehicle, warranty and service contract options, aftermarket product options, trade-in evaluations and accurate retail and lease payment information.

Dealers have been very pleased that Fastlane is much more than a cookie-cutter solution. The car-buying experience is customized to meet each dealer’s unique branding, messaging and sales needs. “We built Fastlane knowing that the online car-buying process typically differs from dealer to dealer and from region to region,” said Brandon Hall, Fastlane’s CEO. “Our technical teams work closely with each dealer to determine how their online car buying experience should work. Then we configure it to their satisfaction. It’s a win-win that makes online purchasing easy for car dealers and their customers.”

$200/month plus a per deal fee, or $550/month for all you can eat.

My question is, does anyone have experience with this type of software? I think it is neat and all, but really don't like the idea of throwing away $2500 if I don't sell a single car. I just don't know what type of traction this thing is getting, and would love to hear from some people that have succeeded with it.

I would almost repurpose this and make it my default trade tool as well as default finance app tool. So for guys who might be paying more than 550 for those things. Could this take the place?
