These are automatically generated comments, created thru a rules based system and published on my beta "test site". I'm driving my pal Matt S at Homenet nuts trying to get it dialed in.

I am looking for some fresh eyes to rip it apart. What is it missing? Let me have it :rocket:, give me your honest opinion.

Joe,

I love it. It's tough to "pick" apart -but I think you may already know that. So, one thing...

If you were to run it against a bunch of similar vehicles, would the generated comments still be unique enough to avoid the "search and replace" look to a buyer searching with particular criteria?

Cliff

P.S. I kind of answered this by looking at more examples. It's really nice.

TY guys, we've got a lot of hours into this and you know how you stop seeing things when you're balls deep in trying to fix little stuff. Fresh eyes are always a help.

Cliff, It has many layers to increase the complexity of its output so it can look different to shoppers that are shopping for a 2008 Ford Focus only, or, for Shoppers in a Segment shopping for let say... just mini vans only.

From an SEO perspective, replace the ? in the URL to a / ...then a lot more traffic will come! Your programmers shoudl be able to that pretty easy..I would also make the ID number at top to be a description..

Example

You have this

http://usedcarking.tv/vehicle.php?id1=W14094

Make it

as an example or better yet

Looking good, but that's the biggest thing that jumped out at me..

Joe,

I can't exactly explain it -but on those ads where you mention the mileage in the comment, the momentum of the read kind of studders when I read the mileage right down to the mile. Since the exact mileage it just below the comment, would it flow better if your generator stated mileage as "under 9000 miles" or "about 8500 miles" or something a little "softer".

I didn't notice this until I read some of the comments out loud as though someone had called and asked me to talk about the car I had for sale.

Thoughts?

Cliff

GREAT OBSERVATION CLIFF! I totally agree!

example: The Used Car King TV - Used 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt 4dr Sdn LT w/2LTNear Syracuse, NY

Vehicle Comments:
This 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt has the sought after LT w/2LT trim and also has the upgraded Sport Appearance Pkg! You can do it! Only $245p/mo with ZERO down*! Hot options are: traction control, bluetooth, rear spoiler, xm radio, antilock brakes, premium ride suspension, and onstar. Buying a small car like this 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt is just plain smart. Trade in that tired ol' car, you're going to get 33 MPG on the open road and with only 14,098 miles, you can expect to enjoy years of trouble free use. *Call us for more details
I like the round up idea. The CG output will read better if it said: "...you're going to get 33 MPG on the open road and with less than 15k miles, you can expect to enjoy years of trouble free use."

Should I use "15k miles" or "15,000 miles"?

Thoughts?

While I'm on it, what MORON at GM named the trim packages?

"This 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt has the sought after LT w/2LT trim..."."

I haven't met ANYONE that isn't confused by: 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt LT w/2LT, or, how about the 1SB? Or the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS.

TWO SS???? Someone shoot me!

TY Brian, good observation, your right and I'm with ya, it's on page 2 of my todo list ;-). This is a private site where I test stuff. It's not ready for the limelight! The URL re-write will happen once I figure out a video conversion method.

Hey! You missed my awesome use of <H> tags!
