I am curious to see if anyone has used the Promax CRM system? If so, can you tell me about your experience with them?

Also, I would love to hear some suggestions other than Promax.

    Thanks!

Our Nissan store uses them, they are a good desking tool. We just terminated our agreement with them though. iMagic is the future of webbased CRM.

Also you have to give your sales reps ADMIN USER ACCESS to the desktop so that they can log in. IT nightmare for reps who download unauthorized programs.

I'm with you on this as well Mike. I too have a Nissan dealer on it and from an admin, marketing, ILM, CRM level - it's a nightmare.

Customer service (other than a few times with the Internet Lead Specialist - I forget her name), it too has been a might mare.

With that being said - the desk managers LOVE the desking portion of it. However, they don't use it to it's max ability so I think just about any desking tool would work at this point as long as they have a tool to desk deals with.

All my other dealers are on eLead - full CRM and Desking.

Oh too - I took my internet sales reps off of ProMax and placed them on the eLead ILM (stripped down CRM) and they are loving it compared to ProMax. They can finally see their customer contact history all on one screen.

Thanks Jeff, I'm glad to see someone thinks like I do.

It's all about getting the sales rep's buy in to fully utilize the system so that I can start seeing better reports.

Well, we just signed up for ProMax's CRM about two months and are so far happy with it right now. We were on their ILM tool for half a year before that, and were very happy with the system and support.

We've got a great account executive and the support team has always gotten back with me promptly. Also, when we've made suggestions, they've taken them to heart and helped design products that have helped us tremendously, especially dealing with GM's requirements.

The desking on it is very good as well as all the information seems to be all in the same place. I'd recommend it, but it's up to you.

full disclosure, I'm a sales and training consultant for ProMax.

There are lots of pros and cons to systems, but one of the things that stands out for me is the ability to handle a lead start to finish -- from it's inception, through the appointment, on to desking and followup after the sale. Are there folks who excel in certain areas? Of course. But I can tell you we are working everyday to build a product that more closely matches what our customers need, and I think we're best at providing the total product, start to finish.

As for requiring Admin access, users generally need to be Windows Administrators or Power Users. If that absolutely won't work (and sometimes that is the case), there are other solutions we can provide. I'm sorry that wasn't offered to you, Mike.

Jeff -- don't know what customer service issue you have or had, and it doesn't sound like you're using the system any longer, but for you or any other ProMax client who has a problem/issue, please call me. I'm usually in a customer's store, so you may get voicemail immediately, but I will call you back. Dave Gibson 309-314-1528 [email protected].

Regal Car Sales -- despite what you've heard, I would love to arrange for a demo so you can weigh the options for yourself. No pressure.

Dave, sorry I should have stated that we currently are using Promax. The only problem we run into is the complexity of your software. We are a true Buy Here Pay Here operation and don't dabble too much in the Special Fi. Most of the features we hardly use or are just now starting to use. Dont get me wrong, Promax is a very powerful tool and in the right hands can be an effective CRM. I was just kind of probing people to see their opinions on it because I didnt see any other reviews regarding this CRM.

Lol, I suppose I should start another thread titled "Anyone know a good Buy Here Pay Here CRM"

    I apologize for the confusion.

I'm a little cofused with ProMax right now. We ended our agreement to try out a new CRM program that seems to fit our organization, its a month to month agreement. If Pro Max wanted to earn our business back? Why are they charging me to export OUR customer records?? It's almost like "hey since you are leaving us, we are going to charge you to leave us!" Now this concerns me and has left me confused and probably even less likely to consider thier product in the future. I'm ranting on this now because it's fresh in my mind and I will gladly pay the bill on the (2 hour minimum) required for my export. So they just made a few hundred dollars but probably lost a client forever.

I wonder if anyone else has come across this with other data vendors?
