A Web Analyst turns data into insight. They are persistent and shrewd at looking at data in fresh, creative ways. They perform deep analysis of user behavior, digging into all the data sources to determine how viewers behave in the digital world. Looking beyond the obvious, they uncover interesting patterns and surprising correlations.

Enabling a Planner and Do-er
Our Analyst works closely with clients and project teams to gather requirements and determine the measurements of success. In addition to developing tagging plans and specifications, they ensure proper implementation and ongoing analysis of the program. Throughout the process, they organize findings into insightful, actionable recommendations.

Living in the Near Future
With a never-sated curiosity about the latest innovations in business, technology, design, marketing and beyond, they have strong opinions about what users are doing and where it's all going.

Excellent Communicator
Web Analyst will summarize findings and distills them into clear, convincing Keynote presentations. They inspire clients and the rest of the team to explore new territory, re-think assumptions, and make effective improvements.

Responsibilities
• Evaluate business goals and objectives, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop tracking/tagging strategies and project scope for new and existing initiatives
• Working with project stakeholders, develop KPIs designed to monitor and improve site features and business goals
• Collaborate with development teams to install and configure various analytics platforms, creating implementation recommendations and guides for use by development teams
• Lead analytics tagging activities, providing technical recommendations based on business requirements
• Coordinate with development and QA teams to ensure data accuracy and resolve any data integrity issues
• Develop standard methods and documentation for project delivery, reports, and integration
• Interpret web traffic data and skillfully incorporate findings from surveys, usability studies and ethnographic research
• Align and consolidate as necessary disparate data sources
• Design, execute and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests to improve user experience
• Optimize customer experience through click-pattern analysis
• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in web analytics implementations, tools & techniques
• Inject thinking, have opinions and make recommendations; all to make our work smarter, more innovative and more effective
• Develop documents that communicate clearly and powerfully articulate insights and actionable recommendations

You
• At least 5 years experience in analytics, or related field
• Experience analyzing web data and click-pathways
• Expert knowledge of tracking software, especially Google Analytics
• Experience with statistics and ROI modeling
• Basic knowledge of general internet technologies such as HTML, JavaScript and tracking/pixel structures
• Familiarity with SEO concepts and best practices
• Consensus-builder, accustomed to working with a variety of stakeholders
• Able to be a strong advocate for web analytics and motivate clients and team members to act upon insights
