I noticed that I just got my 200th like.

I'm sure this proves H.L. Mencken: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the the taste of the American people."

I believe Mencken's quote referred to the "intelligence of the American public." That's not well connected to the Soylent Green concept...

Actually, we are both right. There are actually two very similar quotes. "No one in this world, so far as I know—and I have researched the records for years, and employed agents to help me—has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby."

"Adultery is the application of democracy to love". Beyond Mencken's quotes, there isn't much, in my opinion, to like.
