I'm always searching out new and interesting products and services. Last week I had a demonstration of Zipwhip.
ZipWhip is a newer cloud texting service. They have the ability to provision just about any landline/toll-free number to accept text messages, giving your customers the ability to text your existing landline numbers. You have the option of using a desktop / web or mobile application for the text communications.
We've had many conversations around texting customers, how effective it can be but while also being careful and questioning the TCAP laws.
Overall I was quite impressed with the user interface and the abilities they say they can provide. They claim to fall within all the CURRENT legal guidelines for text communications.
