The Dealer.com Account Manager is a digital marketing advisor for a client base of approximately 150 car dealerships. The Account Manager is the main point of contact for their clients and is responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with the Internet sales manager and owner/general manager at each customer site. Through proactive contact with customers the Account Manager will advise clients on their digital marketing strategy, focusing on the dealership’s Internet presence and use of Dealer.com’s cutting edge web solutions. On a daily basis, the Account Manager will also provide first tier technical support, product training, and feature information as well as engage in up-selling to ensure maximum customer value and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following core areas: Search Engine Marketing, Dynamic Website Solutions, Advertising, Sales, Customer Service, Technical Support, and Training.

2.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Consult with clients on best practices relating to their digital marketing strategy as well as the best usage of the Dealer.com platform
3.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Understand Dealer.com’s full suite of products and accurately assess each client’s needs
4.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Provide product training and be a continuous resource for clients on products
5.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Focus on up-selling new upgrades, products, and services
6.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Follow through on team initiatives
7.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Troubleshoot technical issues
8.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Other tasks as assigned

Knowledge, skills, abilities required:
The Account Manager is expected to have excellent communication skills (using English) and be proficient in computer troubleshooting methodologies (with on the job training provided for proprietary technologies and applications.) The requires an in-depth understanding of the Dealer.com application architecture- how database, business logic, and presentation layers interact to create a web presence; and familiarity with web-based technologies. Examples of this are the limitations of HTML and how graphics and Flash are integrated into websites. Proficiency in an office environment, critical thinking skills, and familiarity with web-based technologies and a Windows environment are also required. A solid understanding of Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization is preferred.
As the vast majority of Dealer.com’s clients are native English speakers, it is imperative that the Account Manager be able to communicate clearly and efficiently in that language.


Education and Work Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required and 3-4 years of relevant work experience is preferred.

Reporting relationships and Contacts:
This position reports directly to an Account Management Team Lead. This position interacts with all levels of customers and co-workers in the Support, Development, Production, and Search departments.


Working conditions:

The nature of the Account Manager position places the employee (1) in frequent contact with clients and also (2) places the employee in situations where they encounter a wide array of potential problems. These two elements combined require the employee to be an outstanding communicator capable of “thinking on his/her feet†and able to patiently cut through what can sometimes be a heated or confusing conversation to get down to “the point†of a given call in order to provide that individual with the assistance they need.

The Account Manager works in an open environment within the CRM department. This position requires heavy phone work and constant computer usage. Hours worked may vary due to the shift schedule of the Support department.
