Hey all, I want to introduce a new free tool from Widewail: The Automotive Reputation Index.

In our eyes, the customer’s voice is an incredible asset to any business: a fantastic marketing tool and driver of operational decision-making.

Our team has been working on this project for nearly 5 months and it's been on our minds since last year. We've built a database of 1.6M Google reviews from the first half of 2023, encompassing 16,000+ new car dealers in the US.

Starting today, using this dataset, combined with Widewail’s depth of experience, we’re launching a series of resources we’re very proud to show to our friends in the automotive industry.

First, the Widewail Automotive Reputation Index. A resource available to the industry for the first time. Reputation data from 16k dealerships available all in one place. The final product is a detailed dataset, with 17 data dimensions, covering reputation data (average monthly review volume, response rate, etc.), geographic data (city, state, region), and business attributes (brands sold, branch or solo location, import v. domestic, luxury v. non-luxury, etc.) Explore the dataset like it’s your own personal spreadsheet. See how your dealership ranks against local or national competitors. Map out your local market.

Next, in December, Widewail will introduce its first annual Voice of the Customer Report. Widewail's extensive library of customer verbatims, combined with topic and sentiment analysis, natural language processing and AI, will be aimed at telling dealers exactly what makes customers happy or unhappy in their own words, at an industry-wide scale. Coming in early 2024, the Brand Reputation Scorecard. We’ll explore customer experience across the OEMs to understand the consumer's perspective: Which manufacturer creates the happiest customers? How do key reputation metrics for each brand compare? We will answer these questions and more.
