So little bit of my background. I primarly worked for cellphone companies in retail sales and management for about 15 years. Car sales always was something I looked at as something I would love to do. I figured I would give it a shot. Even at my tech jobs before I was a early adopter of ai to increase productivity. I have now been at my dealership for 3 months. It honestly is so frustrating watching a company as large as we are suffering so bad from many things in my opinion, but the biggest is lack of adoption to new technology. Its like when I sold phones we always kept that 1 flip phone for the older person. The entire dealership is that person. I do notice they are coming around on a couple things but not fast enough. From an outsider's perspective I definitely feel like the owners are willing to change and know that they have to change. But the management that is still there and in place won't change, watching younger kids come in and get basically no training or coaching or given the tools to succeed. I know I got a little off from Ai. But for me, going into a new place Ai has been that veteran sales rep who takes me under his wing, answers questions about the differences in a trim level that I dont remember exactly and want to make sure im right about. Ive used it to post mass produce content for social media which im seeing alot of good results from. I even have it give me valuable tips during a test drive and also help to show customers the value in their product from research. I can go on and on. Ive gotten that vibe from older heads like im the outside who knows nothing, will never learn anything and will be gone in a month because I am not like them. Its been great lol. Ive just been absorbing everything. Ive already created 4 fully functioning Ai tools I use every day that are instrumental in my success. To think that we have a team who's job it is to be a programmer and here I am just talking to my phone in the back lot coding software that is 100x better then anything we have invested millions of dollars in. Most dealerships will pay 10,000s of dollars on a AI software and think thats it. Done. Only to have no training, no adoption and miss completely on the implementation of it. We'll see.
