I have a client asking if I knew of any third-party sources that run CarFax reports at cheaper rates. I honestly don't have enough knowledge of other companies that do this. If the client doesn't run enough reports to pay for the unlimited CarFax package, what other ones are there?

I know that dealers floorplanned through DSC offer their "DSC Unplugged Turbo" package where you can scan a Vin from your Smartphone and capture Blackbook, CarFax, and MMR reports for a flat fee (almost three times less than CarFax's unlimited packaged). However, my client isn't floorplanned through them so are there any other options anyone knows about?

Let me know.

Good question Joe. I've asked this one myself but never did any research to find out.

I would assume there wouldn't be a lot of deals out there like this. The other vendor would need to have a tight relationship with CarFax to get this done.

I'll tweet this out and see if we can get some answers.

✨ AI Highlights

Joe Webb seeks affordable alternatives to CarFax's unlimited reporting packages for clients with low report volume, noting that DSC's floorplan customers get significantly discounted bundled reports through "DSC Unplugged Turbo." Jeff Kershner acknowledges the question is valid but suggests such discounted third-party options are likely rare and require direct CarFax partnerships, with no concrete alternatives provided in the thread.
