I've been buying at Manheim over 25 years now and have never had a problem with leaving purchased cars there. Years ago I wouldn't pick something up for 2 or 3 months no problem. Even in the last few years, 4 or 5 weeks wasn't an issue. Now all of a sudden, I get an invoice for $20 for a car I didn't take out until the 16th day after purchase. WTH? And it was TA so I didn't get the title until a week later. It's bad enough they raise buy fees sky high, now they wan't to charge you storage fees on top of that? And they can't even send an email saying your car will be charged storage of not removed by such and such a date?

✨ AI Highlights

A long-time Manheim buyer complains about being charged a $20 storage fee for a vehicle left on the lot for 16 days post-purchase, a practice he says never happened during his 25+ years as a customer, and notes Manheim didn't even notify him of the impending charge or deadline. The thread suggests this may be a new policy driven by tighter profit margins in the auction business, with limited discussion of whether other dealers are experiencing similar fees.
