I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet. But something I've done in the past is use mail chimp to design the email. Since their templates are easy to configure. I will then grab the HTML and copy it over into the HTML section of the CRM. You'll need to clean up the header and footer a little bit. But it should give you what you're looking for
