I've been following all these threads for quite some time but I've never posted anything until now. I recently signed up with eCarlist for their dealer website. My experience with them was terrible at the beginning stages of the design process. They told me I could choose a template for free or create a custom website for an extra $200 a month. I decided to go custom so I wouldn't have to have a website like anyone else. I had seen other custom websites they've created and the graphics looked really good. Well that wasn't the case with mine... The first mock up they sent me was a joke! The graphics were terrible and I got the feeling that they were trying to hurry up and rush the process so the website can go live and they can start billing me. I instantly lost trust and confidence. I called them and let them know the graphics were terrible and I know longer wanted to move forward with the custom design so I ended up with one of their templates. Their templates are not that bad and I think my website looks good however, I felt let down because I signed up for a custom design and ended with a template due to their poor custom graphics. Also, it took 5 months from the date I signed up (May 23rd) to the date the website went live (Oct 21)! That's a long time compared to my previous website hosting company that only took a couple of weeks! Oh and you can't get a website without signing up for their inventory management tool. So that's an extra $500 a month being wasted because I'm only using their eBay feed (which is really good). Other than that, all my feeds are setup through my DMS and I use vAuto for my market analysis. Which by the way, eCarlist's market analysis tool is no where near as good as vAuto. I was hoping eCarlist's market analysis tool would be better than vAuto so I can cancel with vAuto but that is not the case. If you can't decide which market analysis tool you want to use, definitely sign up with vAuto! As far as support goes, I think they're really good. They respond quickly to my tickets and have been very helpful. My current ticket that I have open with them is because my photo overlay is not being applied to all my vehicles. This is the only ticket that has been open for 3-4 weeks because they can't figure out why the photo overlay is not being applied. At the end of the day I will say this; I'm currently happy with my website with eCarlist although my experiences with them were not so great at the beginning (except for Blaine.. He's been awesome from beginning to end). I do like the functionality and features of their websites that I believe no other website hosting company can offer. I was only upset with their poor graphic designs. However, I do feel I am paying way too much since I'm not using all of their inventory management tools and will consider switching when my contract is up (possibly AutoRevo). Feel free to check it out at King of Cars | Used Cars Dealer | Pasadena, Texas
