As you can see in my signature SEO is what I do, but if I were in your place I'd actually start with PPC. I'm making a big assumption, but you are probably looking for a quick way to show that the internet is going to be a better spend than print. If that is the case, then I would definitely go with PPC first. SEO can take months before you see a real impact, but PPC is immediate.I believe Joe's son has tons of experience with Automotive PPC. You might be able to coax out some contact info from him as well.
