I investigated this earlier this year. No matter what they tell you data will be lost. I suggest you contact other dealers and talk with CFO's or comptrollers to discuss accounting issues. Speak to service managers and advisors and parts managers also. I made sure I did this when I looked into it. I kept Reynolds. I heard stories that were nightmares. All the Dealer Principals I talked to thought it was great because they like the bill at the end of the month. The employees (most of them) hated it. Dealertrack does not have enough support yet to deal with their DMS. They will in 2013 I think and I may look at them again. Switching DMS is like getting a BAD DIVORCE. It costs you lots of money. Its not just the bill at the end of the month.
