When I google search my dealerships name, it comes up with our listing, and on the right hand side it shows the map and other information.

Under the details section is has "at a glance" and shows the business hours which are correct and it also has some, keywords basically. My question is how do I affect which keywords show up there? We sell mostly higher end imports (BMW, Audi, etc) but the keywords are related to some of our domestic SUVs.. It looks like it is pulling that information from our webpages (it is all lowercase and one says "grand cherokee limited" and then "jeep grand cherokee").

I've gone into my google places account to double check the info and that is all correct. It lists mostly the imports first.

So it looks like I don't have total control over what shows up there? Correct?

Do you have a screen shot or what keyword did you use to do the searc?

No screen shot, however, a couple of those links show what I mean.

If you do a Google search for something and Google believes it has an exact match it will only return 1 Google Places result, and below the map it will show (allegedly) "Relevant" information "At a glance"... This is where Google has apparently just pulled random keywords to display in here.

My search for Capital Motor Company returns my dealership and displays those keywords from my first post.

Similarly, another dealer in town it only shows the "at a glance" when you search for it's exact name. (Search: "Eau Claire Ford" and then search "Eau Claire Ford Lincoln Mercury" and see the difference).

These sound like "Sentiment Snippets". I referred to BEST RESOURCE for all things Google Places, Mike Blumenthal's blog "Understanding Google Maps & Local Search – Developing Knowledge about Local Search" and found this post: Google Places Descriptor Snippets

Here's an excerpt: "The phrases seem to have a variety of sources including a Place’s review corpus, in bound links and web page content. The algo that drives the process is not yet known but it is possible that it uses the techniques that Bill Slawski detailed for Google’s recently approved patent Keywords associated with document categories.

The results displayed, while often accurate, can, can still on occasion show unusual results."
