I have been playing around with a new online poll app, Polar. It was designed by Luke Wroblewski who was one of the keynote speakers at DSES this past year. It's pretty easy to use by designing a poll with 2 answers for which people can vote on. Out of boredom a few weeks ago I created one asking "Do You Scan Qr Codes" with the 2 available answers being yes or no.. Currently "no" has a commanding lead of 76 to 31.These polls can be created pretty fast and can be shared from within the app on social media sites. Voters do not need to have the app installed in order to cast a vote. The results are only 107 total votes, but with 2/3rds of the count voting "no" I guess that can be considered somewhat statistically accurate!
