If you are still looking for this I can offer some expertise as I work for a large dealership group and do some SEO for them although it's not my main job with them, it is under the umbrella of what I do for the group. Feel free to reach out to me as I won't be saying what I make on a public forum.

I will say the ranges given on here are pretty close. But don't expect SEO to be your full time gig as it just isn't viable for them when they can buy SEO services for around 600 - 1,200 per dealership and some of these services are co-opable depending on the manufacture you work in, considering you work for a new dealer not a used lot.

So if you are looking to do SEO be prepared to do other thing in the marketing realm such as creating email blasts, managing advertising account, doing data analysis, managing social media, being point of contact for website vendors, creating videos every.
