I'm still wondering when the real costs of AI will hit us. The behemoth systems draw insane amounts of power. If the current administration can "unlock" cheap fuel, we may continue to see AI availability remain a low bar for individuals.I'm saying this in this thread because all these dots may become disconnected if we cannot keep AI economically feasible for the peasants (you and me). Thus, I have to wonder if AI will be smooth enough for my mother-in-law to use as an assistant. It is mostly used like this by the Uncle Joe's of the world.
