If you opt not to give that data to 3rd parties, then you can own the Vehicle Ads shopping placement yourself on Google's surfaces.


Also, there is fine print in Google's Vehicle Ads documentation that allows you to run the Performance Max Vehicle Ads format with just a feed (not including the other asset types), which restricts your campaign to only running and paying for placement on the shopping surface (kinda simulating the original VLA format).


But the workflow to execute that is a bit tricky, and Google's recommendations will hound you to change the campaign. Don't listen to them.
