Huge drop off in CarGuru leads in November..

Did anyone else have a huge drop off in CarGuru leads in November on the restricted plan?

@Greg Schafer I should know the answer to this but what exactly is the "restricted" plan?

Are you referring to the free plan where your inventory is listed but they hide the shoppers phone number and email address (providing an alias email address?)

That is correct Jeff. Believe it or not, we have good success with the free plan. They never believe me but it's true. But in November, VDPs, leads and even after the sale source sheet numbers were way down.

And that's the exact reason why I've never mentioned it here on DealerRefresh. Cause I know they read the forums.

But to answer your question, NO - we did not see any difference in our lead count from CarGurus.

Nah - it is what it is. And I totally agree with you. We've gotten better results on the free "restricted" package. More leads too.

Fairly certain inventory and pricing...the whole CarGurus model. I just didn't know if there was some weird SEO shift and Gurus wasn't showing in searches.
