Hey All,

I built a tool, CarShots.ai, that allows dealers to use AI to get professional photoshoots done in minutes. We’re using a mix of custom algorithms and new models that make it act more like Photoshop. This allow us to generate images that retain all details and realism. In addition, you can create any type of PhotoBooth or scenery and add branding.

Would love feedback - What would you want to see? Also happy to run some real listings for anyone. Quick example below where we took a bad dealer lot photo for a BMW M5 and in seconds turned it into something great:

I have such mixed emotions about the AI Photos. On one hand, it is so convenient. However, what I have found while playing around is that it is really hard to compete with a natural photo taken in good lighting conditions.

I am attaching a photo that was taken a couple days ago with an iPhone 14 that is 4 years old and absolutely no filtering or editing. If I could create this photo using AI rather than shooting photos in a 30 minute window of perfect lighting, I would consider it.

Totally can be done. all you'd need are some base photos and the AI would do the rest. Drop me an email [email protected] and I'll cook a few up for you.

Mods - hope this isn't against terms of service. I know some places can be rough with "solicitation". Just trying to get feedback and learn! If this thing gets legs, I'd love to sponsor.

@joe.pistell We should chat.

100%. Phone shot => Great photo => compelling video.

If you asked me 48 hours ago I'd say video isn't quite there yet. Now with Sora2, it is.

We have video creation too :) Below videos are not with Sora...yet.

Took a few minutes today to generate a few shots from this photo. Took under a minute. Also created a "custom showroom" for you with the clocktower logo. Also added an action roller shot.

Interesting stuff here. Certainly addresses poor camera skills but I'm curious...if there's a scratch, dent, etc, will that come through or is the image always going to look "polished"?
The goal is to be as close to the original source photo as possible. We're doing things on the back-end to color correct, lighting, etc., but we're not altering the car. This is critical for us and we're we spent a lot of engineering time.

Now the same way a dealer could go into photoshop and remove a scratch they could here. It also depends on the scenery.

To give you an extreme case and explain how some things work under the hood - I went on Copart and found a messed up Porsche 911. You’ll notice all the damage is still there. Not saying CarShots is the right solution for CoPart type listings, but it gives you an idea of how we maintain detail integrity. You’ll also see that in the dark scene it’s tougher to see as that is just the realistic lighting that scene provides (and would in real life as well). Then in the blue platform you’ll notice the details are the same, but the blue lighting reflects it.

If there’s anything you’re curious to see or try out, LMK, and I can run some photos through it for you.
