It's a great term that gives meaning to the natural entropy we're seeing in business and government. Lots of blame to go around but it feels like society is really testing out the depths of stage 3 in the old S-curve.

The monopoly definitely has cracks showing. I've made a living off managing Google Ads for a decade now and its been a bittersweet relationship. I'm grateful that I made a career out of Google Ads, but frustrated in what Google has morphed into over the years. They manipulate bids at auction, they change the rules of the game frequently, and filter search results for political reasons. I think AI will dethrone them faster than Microsoft, Duck duck go, etc.

Aside from hallucinations, AI is a far better search experience. But even with hallucinations it is still faster and more relevant.

faster = gets straight to the right result. faster does not mean results in .00000001 milliseconds. Quality trumps speed.

I really think that the AI routine is still very much based on how you use it.
Don't forget that hey Siri/Google should also be considered part of this.

For some reason I think that google collects way less data on your compared to those Ai services.
