As a website provider (Autofusion), I was curious how difficult it would be to add these event parameters so I asked my dev team.
They said most vehicle-level (vin-specific) ASC parameters should be relatively easy to implement as long as we're receiving the data from the inventory provider...
That's a great point and I do remember one of the biggest problems is our process wasn't easy for dealers because we allowed consumers to configure the car they want, including optional equipment. That made dealer participation low for brands with complex options like the Ford, Dodge, etc but...
Yes. The dealer participation was difficult. Even when we had dealers signed up, we had people calling dealers to remind them to bid on the consumer's purchase. They had to log in and place actual bids and each lead.
Later on, to get consumer's to go through with the purchase, we started...
Wow, this is interesting. We (Autofusion) built a reverse auction system back in 1999/2000 called the CarPrices.com Price War. Consumers gave us the details of what they want - year/make/model/trim, optional equipment (nice-to-have/must-have), color and trade-in. Dealers then place bids to...
They should have a support history log. We've helped many dealerships get their site speed faster and like Joe mentioned above, most of the time, the slowness comes from having too many widgets running on the page. A quick way to see if its' due to the website provider is by looking at the...
I think many consumers are waiting for used car prices to come down. For our clients, sales and leads has remained strong in January. However, towards the end of January, we're seeing signs in many (but not all) metros that consumers think prices are too high.
VDP views are slightly higher...
We're not located in Canada but we do work with several dealerships in Canada. We can pull inventory feeds from Canadian dealers, we are familiar with the advertising rules (such as the disclaimers concerning HST) and the OEM compliance rules.
We, however, currently do not run any email...
You can take a look at our website platform. Autofusion.com
Its' not $25/month but it does include the Wordpress CMS, Inventory Management System, Inventory syndication and more. Contact me for details. [email protected]
I agree with Craig. Pre-generated images are the way to go instead of resizing the images on the fly. We do the same:

Hello Aimee,
I also don't work for DI (I work for another website company!)
One of the wonderful things about Wordpress is the versatility and if DI supports this, they can swap out your HTML editor to something that's more drag and drop, maybe something like Elementor. There's a ton out...
Hello Dan Sayer, we have a widget that resides on the dealer website that allows consumers to fill out a form to start a text conversation. The form goes to the dealer as an email and when the dealer responds to the email, it strips out any previous conversations and texts the consumer back...
We have a texting solution that allows consumers to text you and the dealer answers the texts using email.
Here are some numbers across our texting platform when comparing year-over-year numbers:
March 2020: -28%
April 2020: 10%
May 2020: 80%
June 2020: 71%
July 2020: 63%
aside from March and...
Another option is Google DataStudio but you would more than likely need to hire programmers to get your data out and into DataStudio. DataStudio does have a few limitations so you need to make sure you set up the data properly and know ahead of time what you want your reports to look like.
These pictures are awesome! Photography and lot service prices can vary quite a bit by region. Try seeing what your competition charges.
If you need software and/or training, try contacting PromotionPix. I really like their work and their software solution.
I'm in San Diego and CA still has the shelter-in-place order. According to the governor, we are weeks away from re-opening despite most other states that are already re-opening. He tried to close all beaches this weekend but many cities stated they won't enforce the order so he back-pedaled...
In terms of value, its' hard to beat Gubagoo but as lsams15 pointed out, some dealers don't like the way Gubagoo answers chats because they try to maximize leads. If you're willing to pay more, you can bring the chats in-house or some outsourced bdc services also do managed chat.
Where I see most dealers can improve is the customer journey. Improve the customer journey and you can increase your leads/sales without spending more money.
For example, if someone clicks on an email or ad that shows an offer, show that same offer on your landing page.
If someone clicks over...
