Came across some interesting stats, focused on internet lead performance in the first 30 days. Total Close Rate in the first 30 days was (only) 7%, and of those 7%:

Days 0–3: 59.8%
Days 4–7: 17.9%
Days 8–14: 10.6%
Days 15–30: 7.5%

These are blended leads-- 3rd-party, OEM, dealer website, and a national study.

Seem real to you? Doesn't surprise me (low closing ratios, sales front-loaded), mostly because of the soaring lead counts I see at so many stores. The last few years, I've worked with hundreds of dealers and many times have been shocked to see how many overall leads they pull into their CRM's/systems.

✨ AI Highlights

The thread examines a national study showing a 7% total close rate on internet leads within 30 days, with nearly 60% of those closes happening in the first three days. The poster, who works with hundreds of dealers, suggests inflated lead volumes dilute closing ratios, and invites industry professionals to weigh in on whether these blended stats — covering third-party, OEM, and dealer website leads — reflect their own experience.
