Our dealership is beginning to target loyal clients to promote to in service, sales, etc with targeted offers.. What are some campaigns that have been run that worked and that have possibly flopped? What worked and why?

We're really looking for good conversation starters to be able to branch off of. Any ideas would be great!

Off the top of my head:
  • Free tire storage for loyal customers
  • Free bronze detailing package for A+ customers - great opportunity to appraise the car and move them to a new model
  • VIP test drives for potential sales customers (ie: new Mustang or Lincoln arrives)
  • Drive In Theatre night for the whole family - rent the drive in theatre and just do a no bullshit family event
  • Racing Night - we got a couple racing seats together and had a racing competition night (flopped)

✨ AI Highlights

Tony Schlotter asks for examples of brand loyalty campaigns that have succeeded or failed at his dealership, seeking conversation starters for targeting repeat customers with special offers and promotions. Craig responds with a list of specific campaign ideas including tire storage, detailing packages, VIP test drives, and family events, noting that a racing competition night flopped while other initiatives like the drive-in theatre showed promise. The exchange highlights that loyalty campaigns work best when they either provide tangible service value (tire storage, detailing) or create memorable experiences for families, whereas competitive gaming events may not resonate with the dealership's customer base.
