All the great advice in this post inspired me to register VendorRefresh.com. Looks like Shaun Raines beat me to it... about 3 years ago.
15,000 on a national scale is nothing. We are targeting within 100 miles of KC. Autotrader and Cars can claim millions of visitors, but they don't have millions of visitors in Kansas City. How many they do receive in KC is really a big unknown to everyone except them and they probably don't care. That's where we come in. 100% of our marketing goes to the Kansas City area. We are funded but we do not have infinite funds to roll out a national campaign.
I'm not trying to pitch at all. I'm just trying to get feedback. The odds are no one reading this is in my market and if they are then our service is free anyway. I'm just trying to determine what exactly it takes, what you guys are looking for, to make a better product than what is out there.
