Dear Bing Webmaster User,
Do more with the new Bing.com. Now only Bing brings together the best of search and people in your social networks to help you spend less time searching and more time doing.

With our latest upgrade, you’ll be able to get high quality search results from the web plus the knowledge and opinions of friends and experts from the social networks you already use.

As a valued Bing Webmaster User, we’d like you to be one of the first to see and experience the new Bing at www.bing.com/new.

Search and social starts with the sidebar
With the integration of social features in our sidebar, Bing brings friends, experts, and enthusiasts into the search experience. You can also ask friends on Facebook about relevant experiences and opinions and tap the knowledge of experts and enthusiasts on the topics you’re searching for.

We first launched our social integration last May and are excited with the progress highlighted below. Bing fundamentally believes that bringing social data into search improves overall quality and makes the experience more personally relevant for our users. To learn more about the importance of social optimization and steps you can take as a business to leverage this emerging area read the Bing Webmaster blog on social search, take the sidebar tour below and test out the new Bing for yourself at www.bing.com/new:

Bing gets a new look
In addition to the sidebar, we’ve recently launched a new look and feel for Bing! Over the past few months, the team has released dozens of design experiments to determine how people best read our pages. Based on that feedback, we’ve tuned the site to make the entire page easier to scan and removed unnecessary distractions. For example, we’ve taken out the left rail and minimized our header as well as increased the space between lines to improve readability and optimize the page for touch devices.

Ultimately, these changes result in an improved overall experience that is more pleasant, predictable and useful:

Thank you,
The Bing Webmaster Team

I don't personally use Bing for search, but I dig the new update. I can also tell you everyone I've put a focus on Bing for, gets no higher than 10% bounce rate and the traffic is about 1/4 of Google but high quality.

back in the day before cars and AT, search had their own classifieds. proactive dealers where exporting inventory to many of those sites. instead, they excote, yahoo, ect tossed them away and took deals with the big two.. I always thought that search would dominate if they wanted, but as long as AT and cars.com keep writing them checks they will just be a portals in disguise.
