Bing Versus Google

As you may know Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing, had a great start. According to some news, it started to overtake Yahoo. Bing also grabbed market share from Google.

Is it possible? I don’t think so. People’s habit is hard to change and most of us is using Google as the default homepage. I think more creative ideas and some vision is needed to overtake Google.

A lot of Dell computers default to msn.com as a homepage. I have it as my homepage, but I use Google as my exclusive search engine.

I hear some positive things about Bing and it's "Travel" search features.

I was on two of the computers in parts and both default search (from the address bar) to bing. I can also see that bing has overtaken the number of referrals from a couple of our paid traffic sources.

It will be interesting to monitor what happens with this Yahoo/Microsoft synergy. However, statistically speaking Bing really hasn't made any impact on Google's market share yet.
