Anyone else noticing a decrease in the number of SRP and VDP's on Cars.com this month? We are a Minnesota Chevrolet/Buick/used dealer and I have been noticing a significant decrease in our numbers from Cars.com though we are having a good month overall.

For example, we have 283,000ish SRPs right now converting at 1%. We had a great July when we were converting 1.5% with more than 450,000 SRPs.

Ben - Have you taken into account the time of year and compared it to September of last year? Kids going back to school along with College Kids. Holiday's coming up and travel plans being made.

If this Sept. vs last year is less, then check to see if something has changed with photos, comments, etc? Hope this helps!

✨ AI Highlights

A Minnesota Chevrolet/Buick/used dealer reports a significant drop in Cars.com traffic, with SRPs declining from 450,000+ in July to 283,000 in the current month, despite overall strong sales. A responder suggests the decline may be seasonal rather than problematic, recommending the dealer compare year-over-year data and audit listing quality (photos, descriptions) to identify any actual issues. The key insight is to distinguish between normal seasonal fluctuations and genuine platform or listing problems before taking action.
